Margaret Ann Sanders was born in Lancaster Co. Penn. on May 25, 1836 and departed this life on Feb. 22, 1913 at her home in University Place, being 76 years 8 months and 28 days old at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to John L. Sanders, in Camden, New Jersey, on July 4th, 1860. In 1882 they moved from Penn. to southern Nebr. stayed there eight years and then moved to southern Holt Co. living 4 miles east of Chambers. In 1905 they moved to Havelock, and from there to Uni-Place. She has lived a devoted Christian life for more than 60 years and has had strong faith in her savior. Her husband died in 1903 and was buried in the cemetery here. It was lier request to be brought here and be buried by the side of her husband. Services were held at her home in University Place, Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. after which the remains was shipped to O'Neill and was brought to Chambers Wed. morning, the funeral was conducted at the M. E. Church, at 2 o'clock, Rev. E. W. Price officiating. She leaves one son, three brothers and one sister to mourn her loss. The son and a nephew came with the remains to Chambers. Her brother, N. G. Hardy of this place being the one one of her brothers present at the funeral.
