Thermopolis Independent Record
Thermopolis, Hot Springs County, WY
July 27, 1907
John Hardy, one of the pioneer residents of Buffalo and who has been in and about Thermopolis for several years, died suddenly of dropsy Wednesday in Potter's saloon. "Fat Jack," as he was familiarly called, was a man who offended no one and who had no enemies. Interment took place the following day in Monument Hill cemetery. We understand that deceased left some relatives living at Sundance.
