She was born Aug. 17, 1930, in Topeka, the daughter of Francis "Bud" and Ruth Helfer Bishop.
Her husband, Herbert G. Hicks, survives.
Other survivors include two sisters, Mercedes Ijams and Pauline Haukenberry, both of Topeka.
Cremation is planned and no services are scheduled. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
