Mrs Bertie "BeeBee" Hay, age 90, of Douglasville, GA, died Thursday, April 7, 2005. She was born June 5, 1914 in Villa Rica, GA, daughter of the late James Franklin and Emily Melinda Martin Hendrix. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James P Hay; two brothers and three sisters. Mrs Hay was retired as a switchboard operator with Georgia Baptist Hospital. Later she was a hostess with the mostess forever known as hostess of Chick-fil-A at Hwy 5 and Arbor Place Mall. She was a member of the Douglas Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, the Cherokee Manor Garden Club, First United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Women's Society, and SAM - Senior Adult Ministry. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Melba and Jim Brock, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Rusty and Kerry Brock; Mike and Amrit Brock, Lisa Brock, great-grandchildren, Peyton, Kathryn, and Jonathan Brock. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev Russell P Brock, Rev Jim Turrentine, and Rev John Freeland, officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Ga. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Douglasville or Northwest Baptist, Ardmore, OK. Arrangements by Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home, Douglasville, GA 30134.
