In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Hilda Harper McKinnon and four brothers, James Travis McKinnon, David Wayne McKinnon, William Randolph McKinnon and Carl Fred McKinnon.
Survivors include two daughters, Cecelia Dykes of McRae, GA and Cheryl Young (husband Donald) of Enigma, GA; son, Jerome McKinnon of Enigma, GA; five grandchildren, Brooke Dykes, Josh Dykes, Alayna Dykes, Jessica Young and Donna Jo Young; three great grandchildren; brother, Russell McKinnon of Douglas, GA; sister, Christy McKinnon Spikes of Hazlehurst, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday June 17, 2019 at 11:00am at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt McEachern.
