Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Jud Wilhite officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mrs. Ray was born in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1945. She worked as a secretary for Westinghouse Electric. She was executive secretary for the Downtown Lion's Club and the Tascosa Lion's Club. She was instrumental in forming the High Plains Eye Bank and was the first secretary.
She owned Betty Boop Secretarial Services and was a Realtor for Larry Brown Real Estate. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and Paramount Terrace Christian Church.
She married Alan B. Ray in 1969 at Amarillo.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Pamela Bullock Tritsch of Fairborn, Ohio, and Barbara Houtchens Grizzle of Amarillo; a stepson, Joe H. Ray of Haslet; three brothers, Robert Hicks of Amarillo, Gary Hicks of Fort Worth and John Hicks of Dallas; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Lion's Club Eye Bank, 1501 S. Coulter, Amarillo, TX 79106; Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101; or a favorite charity.
