PHILLIPS — Richard F. “Dick” Wiles, 73, of Phillips died Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Westfield Quality Care in Aurora.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Phillips Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kathy Uldrich officiating. Interment will be in the Phillips Cemetery.. Apfel Funeral Home is serving the family.
Richard “Dick” Wiles was born on Jan. 8, 1946, in Grand Island, the son of Ralph and Virginia (Taggert) Wiles. He grew up in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High in 1964. Dick was united in marriage to Sharon Regier on Aug. 13, 1967, in Henderson. The couple made their home in Phillips, where Dick worked at Bonnevilla Homes.
Dick enjoyed bowling and softball, as well as all sports.
He is survived by two sons, Philip and Jennifer Wiles of Marquette and Kevin and Becky Wiles of Giltner; a daughter, Michelle and Shawn Mikkelsen of Aurora; eight grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Wiese of Hickman; a brother, Robert and Nadine Wiles; a sister, Diane Hardekopf; a sister-in-law, Betty Wiles; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Hardekopf.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; his father, Ralph; and a brother, Ron.
