Jackie Thomas Bishop of the Grab Community of Green County, son of the late Weldon Bishop and Carrie Frances Gentry Bishop, was born on December 28, 1954 in Green County, and departed this life on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. Mr. Bishop was a lifelong farmer, a loving Husband, Daddy, and Pa. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Lillian M. Clements Bishop of Grab, having united in marriage on July 26, 1975. Other survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: ; seven grandchildren: a step-grandson: two brothers and sisters-in-law: five sisters and brothers-in-law: brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Jackie Thomas Bishop will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 9 P.M., Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, from 7 A.M. until 9 A.M., Monday at the funeral home and after 10 A.M., Monday at the church until time of the funeral service. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
Visitation: Family at 3 P.M.; Public from 4 until 9 P.M., Sunday, March 27, 2016, from 7 A.M. until 9 A.M., Monday at the funeral home, and after 10 A.M., Monday, March 28, 2016 at the church.
