Robert Halter Sr., 76, of Canton, died as a result of injuries he received while working on a
job. He was born on June 10, 1941 in Canton and was the son of the late
Robert L. and Nadean (Haley) Halter.
He went to Perry High School. For almost 60 years he owned R.D. Halter Excavating, Inc. He was a 50 year member of the Operating Engineers Union and was a member of the McKinley Eagles, Aerie #2370.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Halter and his sister Suzanne Pellegrene. He is survived by his wife, whom he married on September 12, 1959, his son, his two daughters, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and his brother.
