EDWIN L. MORE - The death of Edwin Lorne More occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Daniel W Munro on Sun., Jan. 17, 1965, in his 74th year after a lengthy illness. The late Mr. More was of a kindly nature and generous disposition. Born in Ramsay Township on June 17, 1891 he was the son of the late William R. More and his wife, Minnie Julia Toop. He helped his father farm until he bought his own farm in the spring of 1928, which he farmed until he sold it in 1948. He then worked in Appleton Mill for a time. Mr. More was married to the late Mina Richards on Sept. 14, 1927 in St. George's Church, at Clayton by Rev. C. L. G. Bruce. His wife predeceased him on November 13th, 1930. He leaves to mourn one daughter, Mary Mina, (Mrs. Daniel W. Munro), Ramsay and one son, Walter Edwin of Carleton Place; also ten grandchildren; two sisters, Edith, (Mrs. Root), San Francisco, Calif.; Ethel (Mrs. P. J. De Rouchie), Meadville, Pa.; and one brother, William Walter James, Wood River, Ill. Predeceased are Alfred L., Welland, Cecil E., Minnie and Ida, the late Mrs. Frank Guerard. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home on Wed., Jan. 20th at 2 p.m. The Rev. D. Leslie Elder of Almonte Presbyterian Church conducted the service and interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery vault. The pallbearers were Messrs; Andrew More, Fred Toop, Welland Timmons, Welland McKay, Wilbert McEwen and John Waddell. The flower bearers were hisfour grandsons, Steven and Randy More, Brian and Paul Munro. Many beautiful floral tributes were received, also contributions to the Ontario Heart Foundation Fund.
