Sharon Kay (Barker) Watts was born on March 3, 1949 to Samuel T. and Thelma E. (Brewer) Barker in Humboldt, Nebraska. She was the fourth child of seven born to this marriage. She spent her childhood years in Pawnee City, Nebraska. She also attended school there and in her senior year she contracted rheumatic fever which kept her from graduating. On March 16, 1968 she married Frank R. Watts in Wymore, Nebraska. After moving around for a few years, they decided to make their home in Nelson, Nebraska. To this union six children were born. While raising her family was her greatest passion she also enjoyed caring for the elderly. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in many different facilities throughout her life. The family made their final home in Campbell, Nebraska in 2004. In 2012 she retired from taking care of the elderly when Grandview Manor in Campbell closed. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Taking care of them and making sure they knew how much she loved them. This was her greatest accomplishment in this world. The more family that was sitting around the table the happier she was. She always said; “The More The Merrier”.
