Rome GA, Sept 18, Mr. & Mrs. Albert Rogers Peacock announce the marriage of their daughter Annaberta and Karl Markert, of Atlanta, formally of Cordele. The ceremony was solomnized Tuesday afternoon, September 7, at Center AL, the Reverand Godwin, of the Methodist Church officiating.
Mrs. Markert is the eldest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Peacock and is the sister of Miss Madeline Peacock and Miss Marion Peacock. Her family are originally from Polk County and are well known and connected there. Mr. Markert is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Edward Markert of Cordele and the family is prominently connected throughout middle Georgia. He received his education at Cordele and Oglethorpe University. He is a Delta Sigma Phi and was active in all phases of college life. His sister is Miss Frances Markert, and Tom Markert is his brother. For several years he has been connected with the Atlanta post office. After the wedding trip Mr. & Mrs. Markert will make their home in Atlanta.
