Jeraldean Hancock Harrell, 84, of Martinsville, Va., passed away, Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Fork Mountain Adult Home. She was born April 4, 1935, in Floyd County, Va., to the late Henry Forrest and Myrtle Helms Hancock. She loved working in her garden, Duke basketball, and being at the beach with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Anne Underwood, and Betty Jo Ayers; and brother, Mike Hancock.
Mrs. Harrell is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Dale Harrell; daughter, Lisa Seiy (Eric); son, Ted Harrell (Michelle); sisters, Jean Gilley, and Irene Morrow; grandchildren, Sallie Rives Seiy, Wes Seiy, and Abby Seiy.
There will be a private graveside service at Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Jason Shupe officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Memorials may be made to Fork Mountain Adult Rest Home, 2925 Fork Mountain Road, Rocky, Mount, Va. 24151.
