"Big Abe" as he was familiarly called was of a fine athletic build and weighed 180 pounds. He was one of the most popular members of the Mechanicsville Athletic Club. Besides his parents, he is survived by five brothers: Harvey, Martin E., and Charles N., of Baltimore; Albert O. and Frederick L., of Gamber.
The remains were brought home on Tuesday, and funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon in Providence Methodist Church by Rev. Carroll Maddox. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. The pallbearers were: Jarrett Shauck, Oscar Monroe, Gorman Jordan, Roy Gamber, Snyder Arnold and Wilmer Caltrider, all members of the Mechanicsville Athletic Club. Funeral director F.C. Sharrer.
