Mrs. Phyllis (Jackson) Richardson, age 78, of Hillview returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Mrs. Richardson was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 29, 1940 to the late Calvin and Elizabeth (Parker) Jackson. She was an Army Veteran and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. Mrs. Richardson retired from Jewish Hospital where she was a nurse for over 20 years. While she was in the army, she spent some time working at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. She loved her family dearly especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Richardson will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of over 50 years, children, grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sisters, brothers, numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
