Thomas Vaughan was a tenor singer in the Westminster Abbey Choir 1804-1843 and was buried on 17th January 1843 in the west cloister of Westminster Abbey. He was a Gentleman of the Chapel Royal 1803-1843 and also a Vicar Choral at St Paul's Cathedral. He died at Ladywood in Birmingham. A small white tablet was erected for him and reads:

Thomas Vaughan. For 40 years member of this Choir and Her Majesty's Chapel. Obit. January 9th 1843 aged 63
