LLOYD DEWAYNE ANDERSON
October 8, 1961 ~ May 31, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lloyd Dewayne Anderson on Friday, May 31st, 2019.

Lloyd was a loving husband and father, who passed away much too early at the age of 57.

Lloyd was born as a "Fire Prevention Baby" on October 8th, 1961 in Bartlesville, OK.

He was a graduate of Dewey High School Class of 1979 and joined the U.S. Army as an M1 Armor Crewmen on August 10th 1979. His military service was one of the proudest achievements of his full life, and he received many awards and decorations to include the Gold US Army Recruiter Badge, four Army Commendation Medals and five Army Achievement Medals.

He would later retire from the US Army with his devoted spouse Diana Kathreen (Sullivan) Anderson in Ramona, OK. With her relentless support and the hard work of their son Kalan, Lloyd realized his next dream of owning and operating his own business, Lloyd Anderson Trucking and being a sponsor for STR Racing.

Lloyd had many passions in life; some new and some that faded with time. He was a loyal supporter of NASCAR and "The Intimidator" Dale Earnhardt, loved John Wayne movies and the television show Bonanza, enjoyed cross stitching, camping and traveling; but none compared to the recent passion for the love and welfare of his eight grandchildren.

Although he may not have got to meet them all or see them as much as he desired before his untimely passing; there was a special twinkle in his eye when he heard stories about them, saw photos and videos, or made distant trips to set up a bounce house for them.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his sister Pamela.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 27 years, Diana; his five children, Nicholas and his wife Heather of Tampa, FL, Krystal and her husband Todd of Dewey, Lindsey and her husband Kevin of Yelm, WA, Kalan and his wife Chelsea of Dewey, and Shayna of Bartlesville; eight amazing grandchildren;

Father and stepmother, Dewayne and Carolyn of Dewey; mother and step-father, Sharron and Larry of Skiatook; sister Debbie of Dallas, TX and brother Clint and his wife Katie of Tulsa; three nieces, and one nephew; and honorary family members Chris and Dakota.

A memorial service will be held at Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory in Bartlesville, OK at two o'clock on the June 5th, 2019.

The family requests in lieu of flowers or other gifts, donations are made to the American Heart Association.

*I am sitting here thinking of Lloyd when he was playing semi pro football. He was so rough on the field but when he walked to me he was as gentle as a bear. At one point he was kicked out for being to rough.
