Nothing made her happier than family being together or watching sports. Susie's favorite weekends were spent at the "Ratcliffe Radisson." Her hot artichoke dip was legendary, as was her memory for all birthdays, anniversaries, and friends' and family's phone numbers dating back to the '60's. Susie had an infectious sense of humor that kept us laughing until the end. She had a huge and loving heart; her empathy, sense of caring, and unflinching generosity were deeply endearing.
Susie is survived by her husband Peter Brown, daughter Molly; father Bob Welti (Claire Dale); sisters Liz Montague (Chris), Nancy Sanchez (John), Deanne Thomas (Winston), Marianne Ratcliffe (Howard), and their children; also by Patricia Brown, Ken and Thomas Brown and Collette (Brent) Peck. Susie was preceded in death by father-in-law Gerald L. Brown and her beloved mother Georgia Fullmer Welti.
Our family would like to thank Karen Fischer Newman for her years of assistance and love, Susie Clark of Intermountain Home Care Hospice for her skilled compassion, Grayden Harker, MD for the years spent being Susie's (and our) "Doctor Hero," Margaret Lunt, MD for her generosity and care, her many kind neighbors, her dear friends at Fox 13 with whom she worked for over 20 years, and those who stayed by her side to the end.
As per Susie's wishes, her body has been donated to medical science. A memorial in her honor will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to The Molly Brown Education Fund at any Mountain America Credit Union or Credit Union Service Center.
