Joan Marie Lasley, 81, of Zeigler, Illinois passed away at 3:47 a.m., Wednesday, June 05, 2019 at the Shawnee Christian Village in Herrin.
Joan was born May 15, 1938 in Royalton, Illinois to Charles and Josie (Burklow) Hopgood.
She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and Earl of Zeigler, Lori and Roger and Josie all of Christopher; four grandsons, 14 great grandchildren.
Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.
Ms. Lasley was of the Protestant faith and a retired caregiver/CNA who had worked for area nursing homes. She enjoyed fishing in her spare time.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lasley will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2019 at Vantrease Funeral Home in Zeigler with Pastor Denny Bush officiating. Burial will be at Miners Cemetery east of Royalton. Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
