She was active in dance and an active member of the Kern County Museum. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxillary of Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. Rita was in real estate a few years, was an ordained minister, loves her lord and is home with him now in glory.
She was preceded in death by her father William H. Combs Jr. in 1984, her brother Dr. Gary W. Combs in 1989, and her mother Vivian V. Combs in 1997, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Rita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by husband Carl Scott and son Rod Scott and his wife Carla; granddaughters Kelly, Erica and Lindsay; great-grandchildren Kaitlin and Matthew; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
