Miss Alice Morgan Dies in Atlanta from Pneumonia - Funeral Service Held at Piedmont Methodist Church Sunday P.M., Interment In Piedmont Cemetery.
Miss Alice Morgan, 27, died Friday afternoon, Aug. 23, in an Atlanta, Ga. hospital, from pneumonia and meningitis, following an illness of two weeks. Her body was brought to Piedmont Saturday evening and carried to the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Little where it remained until 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, when the funeral was held from Piedmont Methodist church, the Rev. T. B. Jordan officiating, assisted by the Rev. J. Hill Barrett.
Interment took place in Piedmont Cemetery, Little's in charge. The following first cousins were pallbearers: Haynes, Harbin, Harry, Earl and Norris Morgan, and Frank and George Tyler Ledbetter. Many beautiful flowers were received among which were many gorgeous florals from Atlanta.
The deceased is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lizzie Morgan, of Atlanta and several uncles and aunts of Piedmont. She was the daughter of the late Frank Morgan, who died in Piedmont when she was only a few months old. She and her mother had made their home in Atlanta for several years. Prior to that they lived in Birmingham for several years. She was a beautiful and most lovable young woman, whose untimely death brings sorrow to a host of friends.
