Lorraine A. Davis Elias, 89, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 14, 2018, surrounded and comforted by her family.
Lorraine was born on November 23, 1928, to the late James M. and Leila Wood Armiger at only 2 pounds.
She graduated from high school in Calvert County.
She later married Raymond Davis and lived on the family farm in Davidsonville, MD. They were married for 31 years before his passing in 1980.
She met and later married Abraham Elias and lived in Florida for 34 years until he passed in 2016.
She then moved back to Maryland to the Household of Angels in Crofton due to her failing health. For the two years she lived there she was treated with love and gentleness.
As her health started to decline, she had numerous hospital stays during a six week period, and after emergency surgery, she was then placed into the care of Hospice of the Chesapeake at the Mandrin Inpatient Care Center in Harwood.
Lorraine enjoyed traveling, shopping with her friends, watching sports; especially baseball and football.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her sisters; Helen, Hazel, Mae, Irene, her brother, James Armiger and her former husbands’; Raymond L. Davis, Jr. and Abraham Elias.
She is survived by her three children; Belinda Gertz and her husband William, Raymond L. Davis, III and his wife Barbara, Richard Davis and his wife Mary, her step-children, Annette Vulpis and her husband Marty and Lawrence Elias.
She is also survived by her five grandchildren; Tammy Samuels and her husband, Joseph, Michelle Davis, Richard Davis and his wife Jennifer, Jennifer Richardson and her husband Matt and Raymond Davis IV, her great-grandchildren; Jennifer Mahn and her husband Bobby, Steven Schmidt, Tyler King,, Sarah King, Amelia Davis, Richard Davis, Natalie Hudson, Krista Hudson, Logan Richardson, Gianna Davis and Raymond Davis V and one great great-granddaughter, Chloe Hurst. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lorraine's life on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 11 am until a memorial service will begin at 11:30 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Lorraine's memory may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, Mandrin Inpatient Care Center, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122
