Mr Carl Richard Askew, age 73, of Peachtree City, a member of Stewart Avenue United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Colonial Stores with 39 years of service, died July 25, 1989. Survived by wife, Mrs Evelyn Johnson Askew, sons, Mr and Mrs Carl Lamar (Pam) Askew, Conyers; Mr and Mrs Jimmy (Gwen) Askew, Peachtree City; Mr Van Askew, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jimmy Askew Jr, Brad Askew and Heather Askew, sisters, Mrs Jewel Bonnell, Jonesboro; Mrs Liz Champaign, Atlanta; Mrs Mildred Price, Jacksonville, Fla; Mrs Mary Adamson, Stockbridge; nieces and nephews. Funeral services Thursday 2 pm Chapel of Howard L Carmichael & Sons. Rev Lee Fullerton and Rev E G Hutchings officiating. Interment, Stockbridge City Cemetery.
