Mrs. Sarah H. Huskey
~ Mrs. Sarah Huskey Sarratt, 86, of Northside Drive, widow of Ed Sarratt, died Thursday in Cherokee County Memorial Hospital.
~ A lifelong resident of Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late Ibra G. and Sarah Jones Huskey. She was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church.
~ Surviving are four sons - Garland Sarratt of Route 1, Ibra, Edwin and Frank Sarratt; five daughters - Mrs. Earl Humphries, Mrs. Roy Davis, both of Gaffney, Mrs. Sarah Shigley of Winter Park, Fla., Mrs. Jack Hendrick of Chesterfield, and Mrs. Edward Pendrey of North Wilksboro, N.C.; one brother, Bryan Huskey of Route 1; one sister, Mrs. Gordon Collins; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
~ Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Grassy Pond Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Sidney Norton with burial in the church cemetery.
~ Body will remain at the funeral home and will be placed in the church Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
~ Family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home.
~ Pallbearers will be Edward and Jim Sarratt, Maynard Humphries, Roy Dean Davis, Wayne Shigley, Nelson Hendrick, Eddie Pendrey and Francis R. Sarratt.
