Albert entered the marriage having a daughter and Elsie Willis with three children [Robert Willis was her son]. The couple added two boys, then two girls.
The Baehr house, which had been renovated and added to over the years, underwent a drastic transition in 1980 when a freak of nature caused a "totaled" interior. A winter storm downed a tree on the outdoor TV cable, starting fires at both the Baehr house and at their son, Bob Willis'. Mrs. Willis was home to extinguish her fire, however, the Baehrs were away, so their TV melted; the intense heat and smoke ruined everything. The Baehrs moved to Willis' while the old house was stripped to its beginning and made "home" again, months later after compete renewal.
Robert Willis-Bates, has three sons and 4 grandchildren, and is retired.
