A lifelong resident of Grosse Tete, she died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at her home. She was 90. Visiting at New Mount Olive Baptist Church, Grosse Tete, on Friday, June 1, from 3 p.m. until wake service at 7:30 p.m. Visiting resumes at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 12:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Anthony Royal. Interment in the church cemetery. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ethel Davenport; a son, Mink E. Davenport; nieces, nephews, grandchildren, including Demink Hill, whom she reared, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Arrangements by A. Wesley Funeral Home, Maringouin.
