Mrs. Amanda Elizabeth Runkle, 86, died this morning at 8:15 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Perry Manning, at Lightsville, Ohio. She had been in poor health for a year and serious since December with flu and complications.

Mrs. Runkle was born on November 17, 1848 in Preble County, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Loy Stoner and was the last of a family of 10 children. She was united in marriage to John Runkle who is deceased.

Surviving are two daughter, Mrs. Bertha Stoner, of DellRoy, Ohio and Mrs. Perry Manning at whose home she died, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The body was brought to the Williamson Shadow Lawn funeral home where it was prepared for burial and will be returned to the daughter's home sometime Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock (CST) from the Salamonia M. E. church. Rev. Noble Schlecty of the Lightsville M. E. Church will officiate. Interment will be made in the Salamonia Cemetery.
