Norma "Cookie" Pierce, 77, East Moline, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, with her family at her side.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 5, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, East Moline. There will be a private family burial.

Cookie was born Sept.1, 1939, in Ava, Mo., the daughter of Pvt. Alva A. Cook and Dorothy Kitson Herren. She married William H. Pierce on Oct. 8, 1959. They divorced and he later married Karen Norquist.

Cookie worked in the cafeteria at Moline Public for over 20 years before retiring. She is a former member of East Moline American Legion 227, where she also worked for many years. Cookie liked to watch Wheel of Fortune and crotchet. She enjoyed spending time with family and her two dogs. Cookie was a good friend to all. The queen of nice. She taught us all how to be caring, giving and loving.
Cookie is survived by her children, Vickie (Martin) Rodriguez, Diana (Melecio) Aguilar, William H. Pierce Jr., Leanna Pierce, Krystal Pierce, Teresa Pierce and Pam Bull; grandchildren, Juan Diego (Jenna) Aguilera, Melisa Aguilar, Jose (Yolanda) Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, William H. "Trey" Pierce III, Cody Hamilton, Victoria Castillo, Jessie Aguilar, Johnny Aguilar and Joanna Aguilar; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, James D. Carter and Herval Dean (Brenda) Graham; nephew, Jed (Kay) Carter; and niece, Dory Carter. She was preceded in death by parents; and husband, William.
