Michael Cogan was the son of Eugene and Ellen (Van Buren) Cogan. The son of a military man, he too became a military man. He had a natural curiosity about how things work from childhood and became an aircraft mechanic both in the Air Force and in his jobs after military retirement. His love of his family, dogs and finding and restoring old things were the threads that carried him through life.
