SHREVEPORT, LA - Mrs. Helen Hays Breckenridge, 88, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2007. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 18th at Osborn Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston, LA. Officiating will be Rev. George Wortham of the Highland Presbyterian Church in Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Breckenridge was a native of Ruston, LA and a resident of Shreveport, LA for twenty years. She enjoyed bingo and shopping, especially the art of finding a good deal.

Mrs. Breckenridge was a preceded in death by her husband, Major H. C. Breckenridge; and thirteen siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann B. Myers, of Monroe, LA; three grandchildren, J. Breck Myers and Amy M. Brainis, both of Shreveport, LA and Margaret M. Carroll, of New Orleans, LA; and four great-grandchildren. Helen was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent her last few years doting on her great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her friends at the Evangeline and Ms. Shelia Wilson, Mrs. Breckenridge's caretaker and friend.
