Sharion Y. Stalzer, 75, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at her home in Laurel, IA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Marshalltown, IA. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Haverhill, IA.

Sharion was born January 7, 1943, in Marshalltown. She attended the Marshalltown Schools. Sharion was united in marriage to Cyril Stalzer on April 15, 1961, in Marshalltown. She was a homemaker while her children were in school. In her early years, she was employed with ARA Vending Service at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown. Sharion was the manager of the Knights of Columbus. Most recently, she was employed at HyVee in the salad bar area. Sharion was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She is a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Haverhill. Sharion was also a member of the Tuesday Afternoon Bowling League. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. Sharion was known to enjoy a James Patterson book on her deck, drinking coffee, and whistling at the cardinals.

Sharion will be missed by her husband of 56 years, Cy; a daughter, Jennee (Kevin) See of Ankeny; a son, Scott (Melissa) Stalzer of Marshalltown; three grandchildren, three step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, and her faithful dog, Angel.

Funeral services for Sharion Y. Stalzer, 75, were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at St. Henry Catholic Church, Marshalltown, IA, with Father Don Czapla officiating. Music was provided by Marilyn Spafford on the organ and vocalist Karen Mroz.
Pall bearers were Laketon Long, Dave Minkel, Jamey Mull, Cole Stalzer, Dale Stalzer and Steve Warden.
Honorary bearers were Randy Bartlett, Spencer Cooper, Terry Frederickson, Justin Simbro, Carissa Stalzer and Claire Stalzer.
Interment took place in the Haverhill Cemetery, Haverhill, IA.
Groups in attendance included Iowa River Hospice and Knights of Columbus Marshall Council No. 966.
