Born March 7, 1939, in Blaine, WV, he was the son of the late Kenneth A. and Frances A. (Costello) Bray. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert K. Bray and an infant sister, Betty J. Bray.
Bill Loved his family. He was employed by Glotfelty Enterprises, he was a proud member of their team for almost 50 years.
He was honored to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Bill loved hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR and Steeler football.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mildred A. (Davy) Bray; a son, William K. Bray TSGT U.S.A.F. Ret. and wife, Angela and their son, William A. Bray and wife, Savanna, all of Granville, ND, and their daughter, Pru S. Bray, Minot, ND; one daughter, Wendy K. Bray, Cumberland, MD and her daughters, Eden M. Snell and Samantha Snell and their father Joseph F. Snell, all of Oakland; his beloved great-granddaughter, Alice N. Schrier, Oakland; a brother, Robert D. Bray and wife, Katheryn, Fayetteville, NC and several nieces and nephews.
At Bill's request he will be cremated. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, on Sunday, May 12, 2019, from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. A memorial service will follow at 3:00p.m. with Pastor Samuel Moon officiating. Interment will be private.
