Paul Gore

Paul David Gore, 63, of Silsbee, went to his eternal home Sunday, May 19, 2019, at 6:39 PM. Paul was born on October 1, 1955, in Silsbee, he has lived in Silsbee most of his life. Paul has served as deacon at Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Silsbee. He has worked in the oil refineries the majority of his life. With starting a job in Arco Pipeline Company that transferred him from Silsbee to Arp to Texas City. Paul retired From British Petroleum and then started a job at ExxonMobil in Beaumont. After being diagnosed with stage three pancreatic cancer, he left his second career from Exxon. Paul will be remembered as an Ambassador for Christ, a loving and caring man, and the perfect father and grandfather.

Paul married the love of his life and high school sweet heart Debbie on January 16, 1976. He had three wonderful sons, and a lifetime of fun with his family. He loved to make it a point to spend time with his family. Paul was known to run off across the country to visit grandkids. He even took a Greyhound bus across Texas to visit his grandson. All the while getting the chance to live in the same house as his other grandkids seeing them daily. If nothing else is remembered about his life, Paul would want you to remember that you should always put God first and family second, everything else will fall in line after that.

Survivors include his spouse, Debbie Gore, of Silsbee; sons, Paul David Gore II and his spouse, Maggie, of Naukati Bay, Alaska; Matthew Gore and his spouse, Ashley, of Van Vleck; and Micah Gore, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Summer, Levi, Tabitha, Noah, Grace, and Hope; sisters, Linda Daugherty, Shirley Whitney, and Margie Crow; and countless nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Frenchie and Verna Gore; and his brother; Leroy Gore.

A gathering of Mr. Gore’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Broussard’s, Silsbee, interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
