Carolyn Sue Durrance, 67, of Darien, Georgia, died Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Southeast Georgia Health Systems.
Carolyn was born June 12, 1951 in Waycross, Georgia the daughter of the late Lumby Durrance and the late Ollie Mae Thornton Durrance. She was also preceded in death by her late husband, George Nathaniel Huff; a son, Gregory Nathaniel Huff. Several of Carolyn’s brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.
Carolyn had lived in Darien, Georgia, for the past twenty years. She was previously employed with the Brunswick Police Department as a Dispatcher. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Carolyn always looked forward to her family reunions. She also enjoyed fishing and dancing. She had an avid frog collection also. Carolyn’s loving and caring ways will be missed by her family and friends. Her family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
Carolyn will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memories are her two sons, Michael Huff and Joey Huff (Brandy) both of Brunswick, GA; a daughter, Terri Huff also of Brunswick, GA; seven grandchildren that she loved dearly, Amber Huff, Gregory Herndon, Travis Howell, Joseph Huff, Tegan Huff, Cierra Huff, and Donavan Huff; and seven precious great grandchildren; six sisters, Bonnie Wiggins, Wanda Dejournet, Jo Ann Stone, Juanita Hall, Florence Googe, and Lavon Durrance; her two brothers, Buddy and Terry Durrance. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends between 2:00 – 4:00 PM Monday, May 20, 2019 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service to honor Carolyn’s life will follow at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Adam Cothren and Pastor Don Dowing officiating.
