Mrs. Gerry Elizabeth Durrance Branson, 59 of Blackshear, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014, at her residence.
Born in Blackshear, GA on September 24, 1954, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life. Mrs. Branson was a housewife and will be remembered as a loving momma and nana.
She was a daughter of the late Lumby Jimmy & Ollie Mae Thornton Durrance. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Reginald Branson; a grandson, Logan Branson; and three sisters, Dorothy Phillips, Jennelle Branson and Doris Partin.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Amanda & Dennis Wilson and Jamie McMaster all of Blackshear; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry "Reggie" & Christina Branson and Stephen Lawrence Branson all of Blackshear; her step-mother, Myrtle Durrance of Brunswick; 7 sisters, Carolyn Durrance and Joann Stone both of Darien, Juanita (Robert) Hall and Bonnie (Randy) Wiggins all of Brunswick, Lavon McCoy of South Carolina, Wanda (Andy) DeJournett of Blythe Island, and Florence Googe of Blackshear; three brothers, Jimmy (Irene) Durrance of Browntown, Buddy Durrance of Conyers, GA and Terry (Barbara) Durrance of Jackson, GA; 7 grandchildren, Gracie Branson, Larry Branson, III, Aidan Branson, Brandon McMaster, Lyric McMaster, Kara McMaster and Hunter McMaster; and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Satilla Hospice House, 811 Beacon Street, Waycross, GA 31501.
A memorial service for Mrs. Branson will be held Saturday afternoon, April 12, 2014, at 1:00 o'clock at her residence, 7236 Blue Lake Circle, Blackshear.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
