I have had many dogs who have all lived to a great age.
Summer was an exception out of them all, from the first time I saw her at 9 weeks old, I had a bond that was instant and would never be broken.
She was with me constantly and I will always remember her sitting in the window, waiting patiently for me to return. A few years ago she began to seem a little unwell, she would cough after running around, so after visits to the vet we found out that she had the early stages of Westie lung disease, or it's the better-known name of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
After extensive searching into various treatments, we tried a few different methods, and we were very lucky to give her an extra 2 years of life. She was such a sweet angel, so loving, so full of fun, she could be funny without even knowing it, and I will miss her until my very last heartbeat.
No matter how white she was when she was washed, she would still end up with a dirty face!
The pain of losing her had stopped me from adding her on to Find a grave, and so finally I have been able to put her on here. Sweet dreams wherever you are Summer baby.
