Clyde Grosh Ankeney, 94, formerly of Clear Spring, died Friday at the University Hospital in Augusta, Ga. He had resided in Augusta for a number of years. Born near Clear Spring, he was a son of Freeland and Anna Maria Grosh Ankeney. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Clear Spring, and Cumberland Valley Lodge No. 3115 F. & A, M. of Pythias; I.O.O.F.; Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 32 of Clear Spring.
He is survived by two daughters, Martha Lutz of North Augusta, S.C., and Mrs. Mary A. Opfergelt of Torrance, Calif.; a son, Freeland Ankeney of Williamsport, Md.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
