Passed away Sunday at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, IL.

Son of Eugene Kirk and Louise Rhodenbaugh Douglas. Married Gretchen J. Uplinger January 26, 1991 in Hillsboro, IN. She survives.
Also surviving are daughter Racquel (Matt) Cosby; sisters Carol Wolfe (Owen Keeling), Brenda (Rick) Jones and Sandra Zick; brother Steven Douglas; step-daughters Buffy (Rachel) Wilson, Page Craft, Donna Faulkner and Tracy Bell; step-son Joe Douglas; grandchildren Carson Cosby, Sydney and Ben Trahan, Brittany Moody (Jon Polinski), Kandrea (Zeb) Britton, Scott (Taylen) Craft Jr., Abel Wilson, Michael (Jeanie) Rogers, Arie Rogers, Tiernan Bell and Landon Douglas; great-grandchildren Lakely, Milynn and Kinsley Craft, Kayleah and Alleigh Britton, Liam McGinnis, Conner and Harper Polinski, plus Baby Britton on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda Davis, and brothers Robert, Clyde and Larry Douglas.

Graduate of Fountain Central High School.

Served in the US Marine Corps stationed in Panama.

He was employed at Olin & Flexel near Covington until it's closure, then was employed at the State Highway Garage for 15 years prior to his retirement.

Member of American Legion Post #288, the Moose Lodge in Crawfordsville, and Am Vets in Rockville.

Roger loved being outdoors, and had covered all the trails in most every Indiana State Park, enjoyed mushrooming, loved his family and also enjoyed just setting on his front porch watching the world go by.

Funeral service 12:30 pm Friday May 17 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Helen Thomas officiating.
Visitation 10:30am until the time of service.
Graveside military honors provided by American Legion Post #288.
