He attended school in Florissant, MO before his family moved to Baudette, MN in 1971. He graduated from Lake of the Woods High School in 1978. Kenneth enrolled at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN in 1978 and later graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in December 2018.
He was devoted to his English springer spaniel, Emilee. Ken was fond of people and always greeted everyone with a smile and kind words. He made many friends in school, the places he lived, and also where he worked. He loved to go fishing and traveling to many places around the states and the world. He was entertained by Walt Disney characters, movies and “Winnie the Pooh”. He took pleasure in visiting the pet cemetery near his apartment.
He had a love for music and in the summertime he enjoyed the programs at the Roseville Big Band Frank Rog Amphitheatre. He took pleasure in playing the trumpet, singing, and dancing.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Philpot and sister-in-law, Lynn Sax Philpot. Kenneth loved all of his family.
He is survived by his mother, Katherine Philpot; his siblings: Mike (Jodi) Philpot, Ed Philpot, Lynette (Ken) Naour, Don Philpot and Michelle (Terry) Brown; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, one great nephew, cousins and friends.
Interment at Elm Park Cemetery.
