CLEARFIELD -- Violet Kapp Harris, 86, passed away Friday, April 12, 2002 in Clearfield.
She was born March 19, 1916 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of George and Sieka Zeeman Kapp. She married Nean J. Harris on November 10, 1936 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Nean passed away August 10, 1986.
Violet was a life-long resident of Clearfield. She was a primary teacher.
She was an immaculate housekeeper and a great cook. She could sew anything from hospital gowns to doll clothes.
She is survived by one son, Neil J. (Judy) Harris, Layton; one daughter, Darla Harris, Clearfield; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Three sisters, Pearl (Bob) Clay, Kaysville; Mary Lee, Salt Lake City and Carol (Glenn) Smith, Cypress, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2002 at Kaysville City Cemetery, with Bishop Yardley, officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist"s Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street.
