Delmus Neal age 80 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday night, May 8, 2019 at Tennova HealthCare in Lebanon. He was born May 12, 1938 to his parents, the late Floyd Neal and Edith L. Johnson Farless.

He was a retired machinist, a Pentecostal and had a love for music and singing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Doyle and Steve Neal.

Funeral services for Mr. Neal will be held 11:AM Tuesday May 14, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Toy Lawson and Clayton Neal officiating and burial to follow in the Center Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday 3:PM until 8:PM and Tuesday 9:AM until the time of service at 11:AM. Survivors include 2 daughters: Deborah (James) McKinney of Florida, Deanna Lindeman of Woodbury; Son: Jeff (Jeania) Cawthorn of Smithville; Grandchildren: Janna (Jacob) King, Karli Burns, Daxton Burt, Jade (Matthew) Smith, Leagh Cawthorn, Megan West Stewart, Courtney Cawthorn; 6 Great-Grandchildren: Landon, Korbin, Carter, Jonah, Jessa, Jacob; Sisters: Patsy (Jackie) Young, Pam Farless both of Smithville; Several nieces and nephews; Special friend: Janet Neal of Smithville.
