Warren Earl, a member of Co. E, 77th Regiment, N. Y. S. V., died at his residence in this village on the 15th instant. He served with his regiment throughout the war, and was wounded in the hip Oct. 9, 1864, at Cedar Mountain, by a musket ball. It was so imbedded the muscles at that time it could not be extracted. It finally made its way t the knee and was taken out, after having been in his limb about five years. He suffered more or less from it until his death, which was as directly traceable to its effects as if he had died on the bloody field.
He was in his 31st year and leaves a wife and two children. The members of Companies E and B, residing in this village attended his funeral Wednesday, under the direction of his former Captain, Thomas C. Harris.
