Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Boyd Curtis Gunderson, passed away Monday, July 26, 1999 in Salt Lake City.
He was born February 5, 1916 in Mt. Pleasant a son of Curtis Erick and Ventrice Johansen Gunderson. He married Kathleen Lawley August 5, 1941 in the Logan LDS Temple. Boyd was an avid outdoorsman. He was a kind, even-tempered man and loved his family very much. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and had served in many positions in the Church.
Survivors include his wife of Sandy; children; Donald (Beth) Gunderson, Salt Lake; Linda (Willy) Gerlach, Sandy; Harold (Dorothy) Gunderson, Salt Lake; Paul (Shirley) Gunderson, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Doreen (Mark) Evans, Salt Lake; Nancy (John) Brown, Sandy; David (Linda) Gunderson, Manti; 33 grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers and two sisters, Earl (Pat) Gunderson, Murray; Gerald (Lois) Gunderson; Elaine (Dick) Schmidt and JoAnn (Darry) Datwyler all of Salt Lake. He was preceded in death by one brother, Howard and two sisters, Carol and Vivian.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 30, 1999 at 11 AM in the Cottonwood 5th LDS Ward, 5910 So. Highland Drive., Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Mt. View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church. Interment Mt. View Memorial Estates.
