Gerald Ray "Gundy" Gunderson, age 77, passed away May 5, 2006 in Taylorsville. Born September 3, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Curtis Erick and Veatrice Johansen Gunderson. Married Lois Ure June 18, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Gundy was the Utah State Champion in archery for 10 years. He also enjoyed golf and fishing.

Survived by his wife; children, Sherrie (Dennis) McCarthy, Gerry (Raelyn) Gunderson, Crystal (Rod) Weldon, Karen Gunderson; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grand-children; sisters, Elaine (Richard) Schmidt, JoAnn (Darry) Datwyler. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Boyd, Howard, and Earl; sisters, Carol and Vivian.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Bennion Heights 5th Ward, 5735 South 2700 West. Friends and family may visit Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Wednesday at the church, 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.

The family expresses special thanks to Geniel and Al.
