Thelma C. Maloloy, better known as her stage name, Claudia Zobel, tragically passed away in a car accident on February 10, 1984, just 17 days away from her 19th birthday. Zobel spent the few years before her death, starring in hit movies, such as Sinner or Saint (1984), Bayan ko: Kapit sa patalim (1984) and Bandido sa Sapang Bato (1981). She will be very missed by her friends and relatives.

In 2014, about 30 years after her death, Zobel was exhumed from her burial in Cebu, so they can bury her skull with her 75 year old father, who passed away of cardiac arrest. But when they went to examine the body, they saw that she was still intact
