Services for Lola Coats Burnett will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 3 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Father Bob Goodyear officiating.

Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Neshoba County.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2019, from 5 p. m. until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Burnett, 81, of Philadelphia, died Monday, April 29, 2019, at Atwood Personal Care Home in Philadelphia.

She was a native of Neshoba County and longtime resident of Jackson, MS. She retired from the State Forestry Commission and had also formerly worked at St. Dominic Hospital and Consolidated Insurance Company, all in Jackson. Mrs. Burnett was Catholic by faith and attended St. Richards Catholic Church while residing in Jackson and Holy Rosary Catholic Church since moving back to Neshoba County. Her hobbies included sewing, reading and ceramic painting.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Joe Burnett of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.

Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Ola Mae Coats; and eight sisters and brothers.
