Funeral services for Mr. T.J. Coats will be held 2 PM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Burks and Rev. Sam Fulton officiating. Body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Friday, November 27, 2015 at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services. Mr. Coats, 75, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Choctaw Residential Center. He lived in Neshoba County all of his life. He was a logger. His hobbies include playing his guitar, singing, fishing and gardening. Mr. Coats was a member of Northside Pentecostal Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Lee Coats and Ola Mae Coats; sisters, Maggie Lean Burton, Lillie Mae Peebles, Bessie Lee Shelton, Helen Peebles and Lois Jones; brother, Tommy Lee Coats. Survivors: wife, Pauline Coats of Phila, MS; daughters, Sheila Roark, Los Angeles, CA, Miriam Sargent (Mick) of Phila, Paula Clark (Jeff) of Union, MS and Donna Ellingburg of TX; sons, David Coats (Nancy) of Phila, MS and Chris Coats (Leanne) of Phila, MS, Willie Paul Reed (Leanne) of TX and Lester Reed Jr. (Nancy) of Decatur MS; sisters, Lola Burnett of Phila, MS and Edna Earl Dollar of Jackson, MS; (23) grandchildren; (16) great-grandchildren.
