Jerry Crawford age 72 of Crestview passed away on Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born in Crestview on March 31st, 1947 to John Henry and Bessie Crawford. Jerry served his country in the United States Army and retired from the Okaloosa County School Board where he worked in maintenance. He loved to deer hunt and fish, but most of all he loved to eat and be around family. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Lonnie, James “Blimp”, Jimmy and a baby brother. Sisters Shirley Glenda Newman, Edna Mae Mason and Jacalyn also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his siblings Herbert Crawford, J.D. Crawford and wife Faye, and Betty Barnhill. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.

The funeral for Jerry will be on Monday, May 6th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the New Bethany Cemetery. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m.
