Mr. Montgomery moved to Monroe at age 13. He was owner and operator of the Central Tower #2 Service Station for over 35 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII and retired as a captain. He was a charter member of College Place Baptist Church and a member of the R. A. Hunter Sunday School Class.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Wallace Montgomery and Sallie S. Montgomery.
He was survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeanne Bouissey Montgomery; and his daughter, Cheryl Montgomery Yarbrough, both of Monroe.
