MARTIN METZGER

Martin Metzger, 36, of R.R. 1. St. Jacobs, died at the K-W Hospital on Tuesday, October 17, following a short illness.

Born in Woolwich Township. April 15, 1914, he was a son of John Metzger of R.R. 1, St. Jacobs, and the late Mrs. Metzger.

Surviving are his wife, the former Magdalena Bowman; two sons, Martin and Harold at home; two daughters, Selina and Lena at home; ten brothers, Noah, Henry, Moses, Josiah and Joseph of R.R. 2. Wallenstein; Aaron of R.R. 4. Elmira, George of Heidelberg, Peter and Abraham of R.R. 1, Bamberg, and John of R.R. 1. Wallenstein.

The body was at his home where the funeral was held Friday at 1:30 p.m., followed by a service at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church. Burial was in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery with Rev. Simon Martin of Strasburg Mennonite Church officiating.
